Ivano-Frankivsk


The flag of the Ukrainian Oblast of Ivano-Frankivsk consists of a black crow with raised wings and a golden crown on a white background. Along the side of the flag is four thin vertical bands, two on the left of red and black, and two on the right of blue and yellow. The red and black bands represent the struggle for freedom while blue and yellow are the colors of the Ukraine. This flag was adopted on July 26th, 2001.

First flag of the Republic of China 1912–28


First flag of the Republic of China, or "Five-colored flag". It was widely flown even before the Republic of China in Shanghai and eastern parts of north China until 1928. The stripe representation: red for Han Chinese, yellow for Manchus, blue for Mongols, white for Hui and black for Tibetans. Later used by the Japanese puppet states of the East Hebei Autonomous Council and Chinese Provisional Government.

East Turkestan


The flag of East Turkestan, also known as Kök Bayraq (كۆك بايراق Көк Байрақ, Blue Banner), was adopted by the East Turkestan government on November 12, 1933. It is a symbol of the East Turkestan independence movement.

The flag resembles the Turkish flag, including a crescent and star historically representing Tengrism. The color blue represents the Gökturks, a group of ancient nomadic Turkic peoples. Gökturks translates to "Celestial Turks".
